Everyone Deserves to be Heard & Supported

At Indy Support Services, I offer professional counselling exclusively for women in a safe, private environment. My practice supports women of all ages to address challenges, build strengths, and develop personalised coping strategies. Specialising in women's counselling, I provide telehealth sessions accessible across Australia, as well as walk-and-talk sessions available locally in Yea, Victoria. You can expect empathy, acceptance, and understanding every step of the way.

What sets my service apart is my commitment to providing a non-judgmental and confidential space where women feel truly heard and empowered. Clients come to me seeking not only expertise in navigating difficult emotions or life changes, but also compassionate guidance tailored to their individual circumstances. Whether you are facing anxiety, grief, relationship issues, or simply looking to build resilience, I focus on helping you gain insight, confidence, and practical tools for lasting change. My holistic approach means that every session is informed by your unique needs, ensuring you receive support that is both meaningful and effective.

The Reasons for Online Counselling

Online counselling in Australia with Indy Support Services is convenient, confidential, and highly accessible. Some of the reasons why many of my clients choose online counselling services include:

  • Affordability and privacy.
  • No waitlist.
  • Comfortable within one's own familiar environment.
  • Geographic isolation.
  • Mobility and chronic health issues impacting one’s ability to travel to an appointment.
  • Lack of transport options and local counselling services.

Tips for a Smooth Online Counselling Session

  • Check that you have a strong phone reception or internet connection.
  • Make notes before your session about what you’d like to discuss.
  • Find your safe space – a quiet and private place.
  • Ensure your space is well-lit and not too dark.
  • Get comfortable. You may want to have a glass of water and some tissues beside you.
  • Remove distractions as much as possible. Close the windows and put your phone on silent.
  • Use headphones for more privacy and better audio.

Your Questions Answered

Yes, Indy Support Services is a member of the Psychotherapy and Counselling Federation of Australia (PACFA). Lisa is a Clinical Counsellor. (PACFA Registration Number 29667).

A counselling session with Lisa typically lasts for 50 minutes, although session length may vary depending on your specific needs and preferences.

The frequency of counselling sessions with Lisa will depend on your individual needs and goals. Some clients may benefit from weekly sessions, while others may attend bi-weekly, fortnightly or monthly.

To ensure that you have as much time as possible available for your counselling session, payment is processed at the time of your booking. All major credit and debit cards are accepted.

By law, a counsellor must keep most of the things you tell them confidential. There are some exceptions, such as if you or another person is at risk of harm, in which case the authorities need to know.

You do not need a referral (Mental Health Care Plan) to go to your therapy appointment with a counsellor.

If you need to cancel or postpone the appointment, please give Lisa at least 48 hours notice; otherwise, you may be charged the cost of the session.

It is up to you to call your private health fund to find out if you qualify for counselling. In most cases, you can claim directly through your private health insurance provider’s online portal or app. At this time, Indy Support Services is not registered with Medicare. Currently, I can use the following private health funds:

  • Bupa
  • Medibank
  • HCF
  • ARHG health funds
  • ahm
  • NDIS
